Suc­cess­ful sup­pli­er day at Ener­con — shap­ing the future togeth­er

On March 5, 2025, we from AMD GmbH took part in Ener­con’s Sup­pli­er Day in Aurich. As one of the lead­ing man­u­fac­tur­ers of wind tur­bines, Ener­con offered its part­ners an inten­sive insight into the strate­gic goals for the com­ing years — with a clear focus on the trans­for­ma­tion and opti­miza­tion of the glob­al sup­ply chain. For us, it was an insight­ful day full of impuls­es, dis­cus­sions and new per­spec­tives.

In focus: inno­va­tion, qual­i­ty and sus­tain­abil­i­ty

A cen­tral theme of the event was the future direc­tion of coöper­a­tion with sup­pli­ers. Ener­con focused on four key points that are also trend-set­ting for us as a part­ner:

• Mod­u­lar­iza­tion & stan­dard­iza­tion: The trend is mov­ing towards sophis­ti­cat­ed assem­blies and sys­tem solu­tions — away from indi­vid­ual parts. This enables greater effi­cien­cy and flex­i­bil­i­ty in pro­duc­tion.

• Just-in-time logis­tics: A pre­cise, reli­able sup­ply of mate­ri­als is cru­cial for lean process­es and min­i­mal error rates.

• Sus­tain­abil­i­ty & ESG com­pli­ance: Sup­pli­ers are being made more respon­si­ble for com­ply­ing with eco­log­i­cal stan­dards and active­ly improv­ing their car­bon foot­print.

• Dig­i­tal inte­gra­tion: EDI and real-time mon­i­tor­ing should make col­lab­o­ra­tion more trans­par­ent and effi­cient.

What does this mean for us at AMD?

It is clear to us that these devel­op­ments are not only chal­lenges, but also great oppor­tu­ni­ties. We will con­tin­ue to devel­op our prod­ucts, process­es and dig­i­tal infra­struc­ture in a tar­get­ed man­ner in order to meet the grow­ing require­ments and, togeth­er with Ener­con, set new stan­dards in terms of effi­cien­cy, sus­tain­abil­i­ty and inno­v­a­tive strength.

The day in Aurich also gave us the oppor­tu­ni­ty to talk to numer­ous part­ners in per­son. The dis­cus­sions were inspir­ing, open and future-ori­ent­ed — exact­ly what char­ac­ter­izes a suc­cess­ful part­ner­ship.

Look­ing ahead: fur­ther strength­en­ing coöper­a­tion

The sup­pli­ers’ day has con­firmed this: The future of wind ener­gy can only be shaped in close coöper­a­tion with all those involved. We look for­ward to fur­ther inten­si­fy­ing our coöper­a­tion with Ener­con — with clear goals, a high lev­el of com­mit­ment and the shared aspi­ra­tion of active­ly help­ing to shape a sus­tain­able ener­gy sup­ply.
